Many of you may already be aware that Mandie passed away Friday morning at The Christie hospital in Manchester. She was battling her illness with the fire you would expect of her, and determined to keep the business going for as long as she could. She lost that battle suddenly, but with the best possible care, and, in the end, passed peacefully.

The Old Cross Tapas & Grill was her dream come true, her own restaurant, which she successfully ran for the best part of 9 years. However with Mandie gone, there is no restaurant, so it is now closed.

Without your support, her dream would have been impossible and I sincerely thank you all, the great staff, awesome suppliers and our fabulous customers.

Mandie, may you rest in peace, you absolute star. Your loving partner, Rich.

We're popular for our terrific home-made tapas and steaks, but we're also increasingly known for offering some of the very best seafood in Greater Manchester.
Above is one of our special seafood platters. This one fed 5 people who also had a generous bowls of Moules marinière (ours is with white wine, cream and garlic) as a starter in with the price. The platters feature lobsters and oysters on one and calamari, extra large King prawns and scallops on the other. We have a great seafood supplier and they pull out the stops to provide us with terrific fresh produce. This means our platters are seasonal and what we can source varies from month to month. These platters pictured here and the mussels starter worked out at £60pp. If you're interested, call Mandie, Chef/Owner of the Old Cross Tapas & Grill, on 07841 434662.
